The Kensington Health Sciences Academy (KHSA) was named by the School District of Philadelphia as one of Philadelphia’s best and most promising schools of the year, and was recognized for three years of steady progress. KHSA is a Penn Futures partnership site where students from the School of Nursing, Graduate School of Education, and School of Social Policy & Practice serve as interns, providing classroom support, counseling, and health education. The Penn Futures Project is a partnership among the three schools to address the challenges facing marginalized children and their families. The School District progress report scores encompass standardized test scores, attendance, growth, and school climate.

Congratulations to the KHSA Penn Futures faculty leaders: Catherine McDonald, PhD, RN, FAAN (NUR), Kate Kinney Grossman, MA (GSE) and Anne Weiss, MSW, LSW (SP2).
